In March 2024 we started our marshmallow store. This is not our first webshop. We already had 4 other shops with delicious products.
So starting a shop wasn’t new. But the product was and for many people fresh marshmallows are still very unknown. That was the biggest challenge: How do you sell an unknown product online?
Fresh Marshmallows are big in Australia and also the US they are becoming more and more popular. But in Europe still relatively unknown. Most people think of marshmallows as a big bag of dry mallows that you stick on a stick.
That remains the hardest part after 6 months. To convince the customer that a fresh Mallow is very different. Because as soon as our customers, friends and relations taste the mallows, they are sold.
First perfect the product!
The first months we listened carefully to all the tasters and customers. And little by little we adjusted the mallow to a point where we are now and where we want to be. At first they were still too sweet, now they are pleasantly sweet without becoming too intense. The bounce, how fluffy they are, all the flavors. We worked hard on it. And have a product that we are proud of and would like to share with the rest of the world.
Reaching our target audience 
Most of our clients can be found on social media. And for this we have called in the help of the company Trendwave Agency . A company of two young women who set up smooth campaigns and create fun content and know how to reach our target group. This is their specialty and it is up to them to transfer the delicious mallows and the fluffy feeling, to the socials. Since then our tiktok and insta accounts have grown well and we can also be found on pinterest. And people can see how delicious they are and hopefully get very hungry.
Scaling up
We enjoyed the first orders that came in in March and since then our sales have been growing steadily and business customers are also starting to show interest.
In May we bought a nice sealing machine to pack the mallows faster and better. It is a pleasure to work with.
We ship throughout Europe and we have noticed that Germany in particular is crazy about mallows.
We look back with satisfaction on the start because of all the positive reactions and are full of excitement about what the coming months will bring. We have many plans and the world will hear from us!
